right now i have nothing but ships, weapons, tables, and 2 missions (i need a storywriter dangit!), but at least some is screen worthy.

you'll be flying this alot...

Yes I'm sure we ALL recognize Aldo's EOS from his model dump... ::) Never did find something worthy enough for it myself...

oh, and theres about 3 new weapons 9some of them fixed old ones) that i'll be testing today. see the one in the pic? its a beam saber!

I immediately see three things wrong with that screenshot: 1) The nebula is very pixelated and 2) no skybox. 3) If that's a beam saber, then why isn't it a beam?

And what do you mean by 'fixed'? Do you mean using models? Because I don't call that 'fixed.' I call that either 'tweaked' or 'unnecessary.' MediaVP effects are much better than any model really.

beam sabers are used top whack things :)

thats not a nebula, i got hit at the same time i took a screenshot, and last, its a skybox. not to mention its d3d.....

it looks more like the crappy backrounds that FRED2 gives you if you put in a nebula and use 'view backround'  :wtf:

Ahem.... Unless the general design calls for it a melee weapon on a typical space fighter is kinda  :wtf:

I had been toying with the idea of a "Beam Saber" for quite some time (especially for the Gundams).

I know people would be amused by a Gundam slicing through the bridge if an ISD or something similar. :D

Unfortunately the ability to animate the ARM to swing a sword (be it a weapon point or other physical object) eludes me and probably would need to impliment convergent fire. Whch I need to sit sown and understand one day). For now I've paused such experiments for other projects waiting to see what Gai's Seed team comes up with to deal with the issue.

Oh where does weapons I thought they where retro thrusters.

That must be one slow firing weapon......

this was abandoned, and everything it included is being slowly released s weapons and ship shinemapping.
