Two thirds of Hungarians polled for their opinion of dole-scrounging immgrants from Piresa demanded "absolutely no asylum" for the parasitic newcomers, Ananava reports.
This came as a bit of a surprise to opinion research institute Tarki, which carried out the probe, since the country of Piresa is fictional. Tarki said: "We were surprised that two thirds of the interviewees demanded absolutely no asylum for Piresans, accused them of being spongers, and agreed they should be sent home immediately."
Hungary is, Ananova says, "repeatedly listed as one of the most xenophobic countries in the Europe". Ninety per cent of the locals "strictly rejected the idea of any further immigration in a recent poll", presumably concerned at the menacing tide of Piresans washing up on their shores.

I would bet you'd get a similar response here, sadly, given how misinformed people are. I remember a story about a resident of Falkirk berating his MP for 'all those Polish stealing our houses and jobs', when the net immigration of Poles to Falkirk was precisely zero.

I bet those Piresans would be welcome in Dublin.

They should come to America-- we don't mind white immigrants.
Yeah, and what the hell is Piresa? ****, they might not be white....

That was kinda the point.

Lies, lies and slander.

They (the people being polled) might have assumed that it meant "Parisian" immigrants...from Paris. I know that that's what i thought.
-
Or even Persian I suppose.
-
I'd rather have more Piresans and less of those lousy Elbonians.
