Hey,
I've been trying to make a new Command persona ani into my campaign, with limited success. In-game it looks like a mish-mash of green and black pixels, which suggests I'm using the wrong colour palette for the .pcx frames. What colour palette does everyone use for their own custom anis?

Um, copy the palette from the other anis?
-
Yeah, that'll be easier, once I find a program that lets me split up an ani into separate files.
*continues searching*

Ani view can do that! Just hit the button that looks like a pile of floppy disks.
-
Awesome! Somehow missed those damn floppy disks. :D
Cheers dude.

dont the comm anis use a regular grayscale format? whether they do or not you can open an existing ani and extract + save the palette. then once youve rendered your animation, convert each frame to index, load the palette from the original ani and save. you can automate photoshop to do this for you. then you run ani converter on em.
-
how do you render it?
-
using a modelling utility.

Yeah, comm anis use their own palette which can be easily extracted using [V]'s anis. Seems just greyscaling and converting to index doesn't work.
