The Hammerhead monoplace fighter is a small antigrav. ship, quite fast and maneuvrable, but also very weak. it is armed with a turret packing two heavy machineguns, and suits well for police patrols, tho it's also available for public.
It's not FS2 related, and the design is loosely based on a ship that appears a couple of second in an episode of Cowboy Bebop.

It looks like a cross between a hi-tech zepplin blimp and an Invid. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wtf.gif)

Looks like an obese dragonfly with an attitude problem and the punch to back it up. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
It's kinda hard to make out, actually... those curves would make a Vasudan engineer envious... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

invid? mmh, actually, it's not that wrong (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) well, it's not a bad thing is it? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

"Monoplace"??
-
It looks horrible! What? What did I say?
Seriously, I dislike its curves (noting has curves!) police ships have guns! GUNS! not curves... oh dear...
-
Wow. Venom, your modelling skills rock. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) However nothing can save that design. That thing is ugly. Well modelled but ugly. Are you sure I should watch Cowboy Bebop? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Well, I like that design (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif) I always make blocky stuff, I wanted to do something else for a change.
-
you calling YOUR stuff blocky? Yeah Right!

"box" design, if you prefer. I don't often make organic, rounded stuff.

Its definately different. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) You did a wonderful job on it too. It just doesn't appeal to me aestheticly. On the more technical side, its well modelled. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

seems it doesn't appeal to many people in fact (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)

Agreed (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) That thing rocks.
Nice work dude.

Woh, you're actually the first one to think that (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
Anyway, this thing is just an atmospheric vehicle in my own universe, and is really just a "detail", nothing important. So I don't really care if people like it or not, and, honestly, I can't really bother working more on this.
-
i got to admit i'm not overly fond of hte design but i just love the way you melded the engine into the body - that is what i'm trying to learn now
-
...interesting design. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) I actually like that. Planning to texture it?
-
If you've ever read Star Wars books, it looks like a Ssi-Ruuk ship.

I find unconventional ship designs are usualy far cooler (I'm trying to get away from conventional designs myself). Most people aren't comfortable with something outlandish so don't feel bad about it.
If some guy hadn't seen a burger with a pickle sticking out of it and thought that might be a cool ship design. We'd never have seen the millenium falcon (at least I think it was a burger). (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

would be bad... the falcon is my second favourite SW design (first one is the slave one, this ship is hella cool if you ask me, I wish LucasFilms didn't create it so I made it myself (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif) )
Setekh: before texturing it, I would have to add more details to the model ( would need inatke vents on the top and outakes on the bottom, search lights, The interior of the cockpit modelized, etc etc etc), and I don't plan to do that (at least, not soon).
EDIT by Maeg: Just fixed a bit of formatting (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

It was, but it had a bite taken out, not a pickle sticink out. How would that work? sorta )
