Stripping a binary gets rid of all debug information, so please don't do that unless it's an official release.  Also, CVS is broken at the moment and will corrupt your pilot files.  That's why there haven't really been any other CVS builds.

In cross-platform?

I can understand that happening in recent builds but I thought the purpose of this forum was to stop our Linux and Mac users from being bombarded with suggestions to try D3D or install to C:\Program Files and that as such, it was open to everyone.

:D

No, sorry, that really doesn't make much sense.  This was originally in the Recent Builds forum and I moved it here. :)

I think it's great that someone is offering pre-compiled builds every now and then, but the Recent Builds forum is really just for official things in my mind, builds from the project members.  Before they changed forum stuff not to long ago, only a moderator of the Recent Builds forum could create new topics but for some reason that is no longer the case and no one has fixed it yet.

I put it in recent builds?  Whoops! This is where I actually meant to put it... really...

Not a problem. :)

And you can put the build back if you want, but preferably from the 3.6.9 branch to avoid the pilot corruption issues.  I'm sure that there are people who would like a new pre-compiled binary to play around with (since I'm pretty slow at getting new builds out).  We just don't like such posts in the Recent Builds forum itself unless the build in question comes from one of us.

Oops, I had forgotten about that.  Should be fixed now.

I'll put together a 3.6.9... if i build the 'release' it's pretty much useless for debugging anyways, so I'll strip and UPX it.

Got to wait till I get home though, my machine is not running at home so I can't SSH in.
