Title: The Freespace Galaxy Map

Hello there.  I'm a long time player of the Descent and Freespace series, and have for a long time now wanted to find a picture of the galaxy map of Freespace.  Recently while looking up random Freespace pictures on Google I came across a background for a PDA that showed the galaxy, only it was very small, and in the upper left hand corner showed the known galaxy, then the rest of the map showed "Shivan Territory".  I was curious if anyone else has seen this, and if so where I can find a larger version of this map, or any other versions of the map!  Thanks!!

I've always heard a whole bunch about this map that was on volitionwatch once. And that nobody else knew where it was. That map always sounded so ****ing cool, and it is at that. This thing's sweet.

Note that these maps aren't canonical, by the way. They are intended for fanmade campaigns and have a lot of extra systems added in.

On that topic, I noticed a few weeks ago that someone has put up a similar map on Wikipedia in the GTVA article. That shouldn't be there as it contains some extra, non-official systems. The original Volition one would work better. I also made this (http://procyon.freespacemods.net/starmap.gif) several years ago, which incorporates the changes made from FS1 to FS2 but has no further additions.

Anyone have a cannon map WITH knossoses added in? (cannonical knonososus)

The only canon Knossos portals left should be from Gauri Nebula to Gauri, and Gauri to either Garuda or off the map to the right.

Related question: Does anyone know which systems are vasudan controlled and which are terran controlled?

I know once you get into FS2 that doesnt matter anymore, but i was just wondering. (obviously vasuda is vasudan)

Well Altair and Aldebaran are Vasudan systems. Deneb should be Vasudan too. Check all systems adjacent to Vasuda....

My belief is that Vasuda Prime, Altair, Alpha Centauri and Deneb are all Vasudan systems. These systems are more built up than other Terran systems, since they don't control so much space.
