Hello, I asked about this in my last thread, but I felt this deserves its own as its a completely separate problem. I recently installed FreeSpace2 using Turey's installer, and I only have the standard Green/Blue/Amber as far as hud colors go. In the HOTU version, I could use the right/left arrows in the bottom left corner of the screen to choose from preconfigured huds. Now this wouldn't be a problem, but having a hud that is solid green, blue, or amber, isn't too appealing. I'll repost a couple of pics to show you what I mean (please note that the second pic only depicts vanilla FS2, thus not showing the 3D hud)...
Here's an example of what the color of my hud looks like now:

I would like it to look like this again:

you can always make your own color config.. anyways.. if not, after I return form hollydays I will post some configs
-
deselect freespace port in the mod tab in your launcher :D
-
Go to Options (F2 ingame), HUD Config, then I think if you hit "reset to default" or "Default", it will work. If not, see if you can find your FS2 hud config & copy it to the same location in FSPort. eg, FreeSpace2\data\players\hud*.hcf -> copy the hud file to FreeSpace2\fsport\data\players\hud*.hcf (Rename your old one so you can go back to it if something's wrong; eg, ren hud1, hud2, hud3 to hud4, hud5, hud6 if there were three hud files in your fsport players directory.)
-
Select All/Reset does nothing, and fiddling with fsport doesn't fix the problem either. Can someone post some of the FS2 hud configs?
-
...strange. Didn't I link to the hud configs? I"ll have to play with this when I get home; I'll get back to you.
-
Nuke's right, you've somehow gotten your FSPort mixed in with your FS2. You can tell by the weapons showing in the first pic.
-
Now, is that intentional or by accident?

I got that pic off the net to use as reference, not knowing that it's of fsport. That is an accurate depiction of the color of my hud though, as it can't be changed from bright green/blue/amber. I'll take an in-game screenshot and post it to avoid confusion I suppose.

Hm.. usually "reset to default" is what fixes that. Make sure you hit "Accept" or "Continue" until you get back to the main screen / back into the gameplay.

Nope, doesn't do anything. It worked in my HOTU version of vanilla FS2 however.
FYI - I updated the current pic of my hud in my first post.
