So, sorry if it had been asked before but I'm curious about this for some reasons.

When I made a search about the fleet positions (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,38274.0.html) I found this:

Could anyone explain to me, why are these assigments are that bad for Terrans? Thanks in advance.

Because it's backwater duty. Mindless patrols with no event, etc. Go play Derelict.

I've played Derelict.

But anyway, I'd rather be bored and fly around countless patrols with no event as you said, then getting in trouble 24/7 against shivans, NTF or whatever  :blah:

Oh **** in SthCrs the 13th Fleet is based on Betelgeuse! I have to correct it...

Which fleet is based on Betelgeuse?!?

It's not canon. 12th is canon.
