Could you tell me what improvments are you planning in 3.7 and when it'll be relased?
-
3.6.10 will be first... but yeah, supposedly 3.7.0 will be the cat's meow. I'll let someone who knows better than me fill you in.

New Pilot Code.
New Bugs (not planned, but they are going to be there)
Animated nebula poofs
If you want to look at those changes yourself, I would suggest you took a look at the recent builds subforum and get one of the most recent builds... these builds have the latest features, and the latest bugs.

i hear talk of:
bump maps
need of new computers for some people
better AI(rumor from awhile ago)
and if i actualy influence it, missle that can spawn fully functioning ships.
-
...
new format for interface animations
improved render sorting and performance
better effects rendering
shader support
new input code
new pilot file code
dynamic ship/weapon limits
compressed VPs
better support for widescreen resolutions
better LODing support (one model could use multiple LODs if it's big)
proper frustum culling
...
And that's just the stuff that I'm working on. :)
There is a lot more too, but many things will actually show up before 3.7 (like normal maps, new FS2NetD code, improved memory management and texture handling, new lab functionality, new texture replacement capabilities, etc.).
