Just wondering what everyone likes. I listen to Bon Jovi, Kansas, and the Shrek soundtrack (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
I listen to J-Pop; mainly L'Arc'En'Ciel, Aikawa Nanase etc.
Go Japan (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
Whatever Shrike sends me. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Indeed (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
Jpop, anime and video game music mostly. Some U2, Schoolhouse Rocks, some remixed disco tunes (its amazing what cranking up the BPM and amping the bass line can do for some of that stuff), Wierd Al, Voltair, Vast, and Nine Inch Nails (mostly remixes).
Heck, that's what I play with playing games. I cut the background music volume in the game, hook up my Archos, and just pump the various Macross tracks into the speaker system, where they overlay the game.
There is a distinct 'rightness' to furballing in an asteroid field to the "Information High". (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I know this may seem wierd, but I hate pop bands (at least the modern ones), and I rarley listen to music.
HOwever, I do like to listen to Aerosmith, and other rock bands.
I also don't listen to music while surfing HLP, as I am often touching up 3D models, and music distracts me (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
-
Funny how such things go - things like Christopher Franke and some of the Lexx soundtrack musics (amongst other things) actually help to inspire me when rendering and so on..
-
Well... here'e what's been getting playtime recently. Of course, this is just generally.
Some tracks from:
Sepultura, Soulfly.
The Bear Quartet, only have 2 (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif).
LOTR Soundtrack.
Bad Religion.
Depeche Mode.
Neil Young.
Ladytron.
Tom Lehrer.
R. L. Burnside.
Entombed.
In Flames.
Henry Rollins, stand-up comedy.
Then there's Shoutcast too, but i'm not gonna bother with those.
-
The last months I've mainly been listening to Weezer. They have put up lots of free mp3s on their site (probably over 50 mp3s the last couple of months). Live, unmixed and mixed from their new fourth album. It's great to see a band that knows how to use the internet.

Depends what kinda mood I'm in. On the few occasions I do listen while doing anything on a computer, it ranges from Stone Temple Pilots to Danny Gatton to whatever the hell else happens to be on.
-
I listen to a whole lot of different stuff
Soundtracks from games
Linkin Park
Iced Earth
Smash Mouth
and 1 or 2 soundtracks from Nightwish (thanks Gortef (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif))
-
It varies quite a bit....
Id be better off posting my Winamp playlist, but thats 2000 songs...
Right now I'm listening to Talking all that Jazz by Dimitri from Paris...
Now it's Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World...
-
Ughh... some of the songs Thorn listens to... makes no sense... just rattle... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)
I usually listen to just songs without words... I kinda like techno backsounds... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Classical, Funk, Rock, Punk, Techno/Trance, Metal, and some that I'm not entirely sure what category it would go in...
-
DC - are you saying Techno makes sense and isn't just sensless noise? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
-
I listen to Metallica, my fav Metal Band.
-
Last night while I was dreamin',
I dreamed about the H-bomb!
Well, the bubble went up
and I was caught, I was the only man on the ground.
There were 13 women and only one man in town!
13 women and ME the only man around!...
It's not my favorit, but great lyrics (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

If you're talking about film soundtracks I usually listen to the themes from Starwars and the Last Starfighter. Keeps me motivated (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
My parents got me the John Williams collection for chrimbo (bless their hearts (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) ) it's played constantly. If you can find it you should listen to 'cadillac of the skys', the theme from Empire of the sun, I'm convinced that it's the soundtrack in heaven (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

I've finally found Semi Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind after ages of trying to find out what the hell the song was actually called (I'd heard it on the radio but its becoming increasingly common down here for DJs to never actually introduce the songs they play or tell you what they've played after a set of songs) so I'm listening to that.
