Some times ago I read an article about this movie. I have some question for those who have already seen it:
Is it a good movie? Is it worth buying it? How are the air combat scenes? Are these realistic?
I'm still trying to understand when it's released in DVD here. I've read that for "marketing reason", in Italy wouldn't have been released in cinemas... :(

marketing reasons= only you and LGM (+ girlfriends?) in the cinemas

I REALLY doubt my girlfriend would see a movie about airplanes :doubt:

Sorry for double post...
I'll take the lack of replies here as the fact that nobody saw this movie...

Doesn't look like you have much in common, then. :P
(sorry, couldn't resist)

:necro: ing my own thread...
I've just seen this movie. It was fairly good, but not as good as I expected (Probably due to my nitpicking about airplanes :P)
SPOILER WARNING!!!!!
The flight scenes are beautiful, but some parts are too Iron Eagle-esque. For example, when Marchelli destroys half a terrorist base with a sonic boom, then the terrorist that was with him on his Mirage ejects and Valois jumps on the plane from a truck. And then they return in France from Africa without canopy and ejection seat :doubt:
It was a nice decision by the Armèe de l'Aire to produce a propaganda movie like the US Navy did with Top Gun. I'm hoping other Air Forces follow this example.
Did anybody else watch this movie? What are your opinions?

Iron Eagle? Was that the one where the stupid teenager flies off with a falcon to save his daddy from the evil middle eastern bad guy, and singlehandedly destroys all while doing it?
I liked it as a kid. Don't really know why. Probably wasn't all that right in the head at those times...

Yup, that's Iron Eagle. Oh glorious 80's where have you gone ...
