Title: Wich things who are NOT in the mediavps are still nice to look at
Post by: Grizzly on April 20, 2007, 10:13:59 am
Wich effects, maps, weapons, nebula's... etcetera are not in the mediavps but are in your data/maps/effects/etc folder?

for me:

Some nice htl models
Lightspeed advanced subspace model (if this is in the mediavps, hit me)
Animated beamglows (dds) (ok, this is in the adv effects, but i wanted it seperatly)
Dabrains Shockwave3d High-End (not Super High End)

Inferno's impact explosions (missile or beam hits).

The LS Nebulae really need to make it into the effects package.  They don't cause significant slowdowns or problems on low-end PCs, unlike many of the adveffects, and most new campaigns use them.

High-ends are better ;)

I now also have the DDS versions of the Animated Glowmaps, shine maps for all the ships, some other irrelevent stuf, I've corrected some POFS to give a nice cockpit view with showship...

I'd get rid of the super high end shockwaves and possibly even the high end shockwaves. I really don't see any difference between those two i already mentioned versus the mid range ones besides the fact that the midrange ones don't take up any extra horsepower on computers when they don't need to.

All it looks you did was recolor it.

And I don't care about being spoiled.

Mainly because I wont play your campaign

Takashi, please use image shack to host pictures.

Assuming theres something there to see, you can't see anything in the cockpit. I didn't even realize that fighter had a cockpit until I read above.
