Title: For hlp staffers

i just got a series of emails confirming my hosting request from 3dplanet, so when i used the password and adresses it gave me to my hosting slot, it came up with a 3dplanet page.  This was even after i uploaded all my page files to the server.  The problem is that it always says that theres already a file there with the same name, would someone care to help me out here?

ok, i seem to have found the problem  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif), have i actually been accepted by hlp? because i can't upload onto the HLP area, only onto gamespy.com.  Could someone please clarify whether or not i've been accepted by hlp? because the emails came with hlp's address yet i dont have access to hlp.

Did you submit your hosting request to Setekh (at least he was the one who e-mailed me back) or on the main 3DAP page?

yes i did as a matter of fact, got a reply from him about a week ago saying 'yes, i read your request, its being processed, wait a bit more".  Then yesterday i get a mail from the hosting service, after i filled out everything, i got a sting of them today.  The hosting directions make no sense.  I have access to posting files on fileplanet, but i cant get my site up on hlp.

Odd.. you're sure? I'll have to check with GS tech support about your dir permissions. So what servers can you get to?

i can get file planet, and thats it, i think i can get a little bit of 3d actionplanet, not sure, i'll check again.

To Setekh or any other HLP staffers who read this thread, i just wanna know where i stand on hosting (not trying to push the process or anything, just need to know before i run around the pages of 3dplanet like an idiot trying to figure out how to get my site to work)  Also, im gonna need to mess around with geocities some more with updates if i dont get hosted soon, which i would rather not do if i dont have to, sense geocities is a pain and corrupts everything i put on it.
