Title: Something you should all be proud of!
Post by: miskat on April 26, 2007, 02:40:20 am
So, seeing all the hard work you all did, and the easier to use installers that people have worked hard on, I thought you would find it gratifying, heartwarming, and generally fuzzy to hear this:

Last weekend my dorm hall housed a lan-party, consisting of around 30 computers--mostly brought from peoples dorms--for a gaming competition.  Two games were hosted: counter strike and Freespace2.

Every installation of FS2 was FS2SCP.  =)  We got a lot of questions, a lot of interest, and a lot of happy new fans.  About 15, that I know of.

Congradulations people, you all kick the proverbial arse.

I don't play FS2Multi for a good reason: I would die within a minute. :p
But that sounded like tons of fun! Freespace shall never die!

Hmm, what commandline options did you use?

Which was more popular? Counter Strike or FreeSpace2 SCP?

Snipers playing with big heads cheat anybody?
I don't play counterstrike, never got into it, counterstrike source is very attractive though, i should really try hl2 deathmatch. Essentially i can't play counterstrike very well. I just remember back in the old days before hl2 came out, there were people playing as snipers using the big heads cheat  I was just like man that's so ****ing lame, but who's gonna know besides the guy playing the sniper on his machine with the big heads cheat
Of course fs2 i can actually play. Fs2 multi was one of the few games that performed well over 56k. Fs2 was awesome, it handled lag just perfectly, until i ran into a build your own mecha first person shooter game called axis that did even better over 56k.
Axis Arena (http://www.realarcade.com/game?tps=eu_&gameid=axis&t=wide&p=games&sp=download&ssp=actionadventure&gpart=axis&pcode=RN&cpath=R1R&rsrc=eu_dir_games&src=eu_dir_games)
Some of you may have played it, it had awesome multiplayer, and i felt sorry for the people who reviewed the game before it got fixed because it worked perfectly when i got it. Too bad people stopped playing, talk about a game that requires speed and reflexes, that **** was fun. Of course i just bought the game for 20$, looked for the executable installer, and uninstalled real arcard
