Title: Corruption

If when my mission starts, there's no background, I can't maneuver, target, or fire weapons, jumping out never ends, and I can give orders to Alpha 1 (myself), does this mean my mission is corrupted? Or is there some mistake I've made in FRED that I can't find?  :confused:

Sounds like the mission is definitely corrupt to me. You need help fixing it or are you just reporting the bug?

Are you saying this happens only if there is no background defined in the mission?  If so is it any mission without a background or just the one?

No, no, I'm just talking about my specific mission, regardless of whether the background is defined in it. And the mission wasn't all that far along anyway, so I'll just recreate what I had so far. Good thing I can open it in FRED still, I ca

something similar happened to me:
i have an introductory cutscene (in which the player has no control on his fighter) after which the player starts the mission. Well, sometimes it happens that the cutscene runs perfectly, but then the screen appears black (probably as for Alan Bolte).
