its pong.. in 3D. My computer science class hasn't had this much fun since we hacked security and installed Q3A and had a LAN "party".

grr, I hate those kinda games where you cant figure out exactly where the balls going to go, and you dont have enough time to line it up with your side references
and we got diablo shareware installed on our lan (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

too fekkin hard.
-
Played this one before; it is pretty easy once you get a feel for it.
-
hard, but addictive (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
the game looks cool and all, but its so vary hard (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
maybe you could but in power ups to slow the game down (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Is that the one where the winners bat spins at the screen when someone wins?
-
Is it possible to win? the computer has almost super-human acuracy and speed whilst the players paddle doesn't always deflect the ball... it seems impossible to win (even though it's good fun - I particularly like the way it speeds up as it used to in Space Invaders in time with the human heart beat).
-
Just play it a lot; when the speed reaches a certain limit, the computer is programmed to miss the ball most of the time. I can usually beat him every time by this point. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Cool, but I prefer the 2D version instead.
Bouncing the ball at the walls seem to work.

Ever seen the impossible "pong" version where the computer always hits the ball? It's like the regular game, only more futile. Very Zen. I've gotta find it again sometime...

I actually beat the computer in one round for once.

The computer's tough, but can be beaten. We got kicked off the net (damn 3 hr limit) and a big box came up covering the top half of the playing window - I stil won (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif).
