...or as I like to call it, "how to kill time during a network outage".

This ones more along the lines of what I'm aiming to make once I sort this modding stuff out.

Updated the chin turret to something more menacing.

Also another experiment.
My take on the future of low cost space travel.

Wow, all very cool :) How about some smooth shaded views?

Alright, FreeSpace space mechs! Modeling a human is always hard, but that will actually look very good once you get it smoothed out (sorry if that was your final product :P).
Excellent work on the "blocky" spaceship, also. It looks like something that would realistically be built. Very Terran, no pointless decor, unlike some ridiculous Vasudan/Shivan designs (there were a few Sathanas-type models, very beautiful, just looked more like an art museum than a warship).

I mauled it with a smooth modifier, but the body would need alot more work to pass close inspection.
I actually have less trouble making mechs in 3d than humans at this point. Its easier to break them down into workable pieces and no one seems to complain if your missing some trivial bits like... knees.

Just noticed this thread again. I loved Heavy Gear 2, awesome job :)

Thanks :)
It was part of an attempt by me and a few friends to make a heavy gear modification for Unreal Tournament. Unfortunately our only programmer moved on.
I always wanted to try my hand at a robot game again if I had the time.
