Do you believe that multiple political ideologies are beneficial or even necessary, or that one ideology can be mostly right about some things?
Obviously not everyone will have exactly the right political views, but it seems that a lot of people will single out the 'conservatives' or the 'liberals' for being wrong. I'm not asking which is right, but rather, is having multiple parties which conflict and slow each other's goals down a better solution than having one party which can achieve its goals much faster?
My Opinion
For me, I believe that having multiple ideologies is extremely valuable, because it makes it more likely that the second party will point out flaws in the first party's plan, forcing the first party to address those flaws, until enough flaws have been worked out that the second party will also agree to the plan. I think this helps make it so that the laws that do pass are the ones that are the most well-thought-out, and prevent a law from being approved without much scrutiny simply because it seems like it agrees with one ideology's goals.
That, however, is just my opinion and I haven't followed politics well enough to feel that I can really argue definitively that it's true. It is, however, still my opinion. ;)

Multiple ideologies sounds great in theory, but it just introduces a lot of hassle to a system that could just be so much simpler. A multi-party government introduces ideological bickering, which leads to polarisation of both the government and, worse, the people. While it may provide better checks and balances and allow for more thought-out governing, it inevitably gets bogged-down in bureaucracy and slows the governing process to a crawl.
Now, authoritarian governments have gotten a bad wrap lately...

I think that for a system to survive in the long term, it needs its own dark side, negative aspects; and imperfections.
Said things drive evolution, while perfectness is death itself.
Masume Shirow actually put it a lot more eloquently in his Ghost in the Shell manga.
Simply put you can't have the good without the bad - and trying to do so will inevitably lead to catastrophe. (I don't say progress or betterment is impossible and shouldn't be strived for, I merly emphasis, that there ALWAYS will be a dark side to things).

If something is perfect what purpose would evolution serve except to make the system worse at what it does?

As demonstrated by the "special edition" releases of Empire Strikes Back. Urgh. :ick:

Mulitple Ideoligies is a contradiction to me, Surely an ideology is a single perfect way/view on how life should be.

I think one can only run in one direction at a time. For real progress, movement as "vector sum" of ideologies is better than repeatedly jumping forth and back.
Past mistakes are forgotten quickly. In monoideology you could move too fast to see where you're stepping.

In theory a perfect monoidealogy is possible, but in practice...
