TBP 1.0 will be released before July 25.
-
inferno build support? (= higher ship limit?)
-
Additional ships via the Inferno build will be optional to install but carried with the main download.
-
Brave decision guys on a release date, but you're all great at what you do so I'm sure you know that you can meet it. Best of luck and thanks for all the hard work so far.
-
I seem to remember TBP 1.0 was already released? Years ago? Why hell it's called 1.0 anyway? Me no understand...
Am I to understand this is to be the release? That IP is finally ready to wash his hands of this thing? Well I hope it's ready. Personally I have not even tried the latest beta. Been busy, and the bright mother****er in the sky makes playing any dark games tedious at best. So I'll be downloading this one sometime in autumn.

1.0 means complete. An alternate name might be TBP Final. I'm still undecided on the name. At this point though I do like 1.0.

I`ve got 1 question to ask on the additional ships.. Will the Cotton Tender that I E Maverick made be in the release?
-
Exept the release won't be complete. And how does 4.3 go back to 1.0? I'd rather go with something else than 1.0. Final would be good.

If this ship existed then I would have included it.

I did send Mav a PM some generations ago about the cotton. He too ignored me. So I guess the Cotton is forever lost. That cripples TBP and makes me very pissed off, has been for years actually. No good for my psyche.
-
He's posting on Game-Warden. Try asking him there. It might simply be he doesn't post here much or missed it.
-
It's hard to miss a PM. And I don't think he never even finished the cotton...
-
It's a crying shame to loose the tug. It adds more realism to the universe. I also agree that "TBP Final" sounds better that going back to TBP 1.0
-
I E Mavrick posted pictures of the pof, in different stages on the TBP forum, but as far as I know, it wasen`t finished or textured. :sigh:

It's pretty easy if you unticked the pop up message option in your profile actually. I've sometimes found PM's sent to me months ago that I missed on boards that don't have that option.

I spoke to Mav about his former WIP models in ICQ a while ago...
all these models (unfinished, untextured or else) were handed over to Col. Fishguts who should take care about them...
-
Really? What TBP related models were there and is Fishguts going to finish them? :wtf:
-
I'd avise against the "1.0" title too. My first thought was someone had bumped an old thread (although the original v1 was probably a VWBB release you get my point).
-
I'm fairly certain TBP didn't release anything in VWBB...

Look at the thread in the internal about high-poly models. But there's no cotton tender WIP, I don't think Mav ever finished the model.
And yes, I'll eventually finish them, but not now. As you might have noticed I'm not here much these days because my master thesis is eating up all my time (and I do mean all of it). On the bright side, I should be finished by September, after which I'll be able to reserve a regular timeslot for some modding.

I'm pretty sure that they did. Miburo released Tales of EAS Janus before for he joined the MindGames team back in 2002. The oldest posts on here are from 2004.

Oh yes we did. The Earth Minbari War Demo was released during the prime days of Volition Watch. That was actually back around September of 2001 if memory serves and we didn't retire Volition Watch until 2004.
