Ya, I started playing with some empulators and ran into a sweet game called Super Taisen Robot Wars 3...basicly a ****load of anime mecha and robots forming an army, jumping trough dimensions (crossovers..LOL) and kicking butt.
The problem is it's on Japanese.. now I can speak a tad, but I sure as hell can't read those symbols.
now here's something I've put together..I wonder if I got it right:

I'd also liek tonkow what are those stats on each side...
Disptestumbling trough the game it's very addictive.. On the bottom screen you can see my army consisting of several Gundams, Mazinger (and two supprt bots, fat one and a kid one), some robot that shoots V shaped beam form his head, some red feline-like robot with claws and long sivlery hair(???) and Escaflowne - all defending Fanelia...
I still havn't gotten to Voltron, Daitarn III or Macross bots (Including the DYRL SDF-1)

Now the first two are Hitpoints and Energy - that's easy enough.
I guess the others are Attack, Base Damage & defense???

I can point you to some links that deal with translating
games, as well as some utilities to do the translating yourself.
I'm pretty busy, so a PM will be a good reminder, or get me on IM.
Machine made characters are fairly easy to translate but handwritten
stuff is typically a pain. Kanji is the worst, Kana (Hiragana + Katakana)
is fairly easy.
You'll need to be able to get screen captures of each text you want
to convert too. The Wikipedia entry for the series shows that some of
the games are being worked on by a couple translators - as well as
listing what anime series goes with what game.

I suppose that actually covers what you wanted, there's another
translator out there doing them too but I've not seen much come out if him.

THis appears to be a for a SNES version...I have a WonderSwan one...
Strange...Rom Hustler doens't have Super Robot Wars 3 listed for SNES....
Hm..I think I got it...the emulator, the ROM and the patch...gotta see if it's the same game

Nah..this is a differnt game..very similar (like another sequl), but worse..WORSE ghaphics..can you belive that? LOL
It also hasa different story (from what I can gather) and only some of hte huge mecha selection the one I have has..
