Here's a bomber I've been working on the past three days, off and on.
Can you guess what real-world object inspired the shape? :)
It's all new except for the greeble marking the weapon port on the nose, that's the plate from my 'Honorverse' laser cluster. The sunken areas on either side are weapons bays capable of being fitted with all kinds of energy weapons or racks for missiles or bombs.
I think the back end needs more, but more what?
I'm thinking of naming this ship the DY02 Heavy Bomber.

The front is based on an upside down Hewlett Packard 02 series inkjet printer cartridge. The rectangular greeble on the front is where the HP logo is. As for why it's called the DY02, look at the HP logo upside down. It becomes a lowercase dy. :lol:

With the coloring it looks like an eraser :lol:

When I first saw the thread title, I thought you took inspiration from an aircraft. Then I saw the model and I thought of a locomotive.
But really, I could never think of a printer cartridge... :lol:

The color is because I used the magenta cartridge. If I'd used the light magenta one, it'd be pink! ;)

Looks like the shower-gel dispenser in the bathroom actually, except it's laying down.

Colonel Dekker is right you should've waited a bit longer with the resolution... :nod:
As for what I guessed - at first I thought of a box or two, then of a house; and my last bet before seeing the resolution was a toast ;) (yep - a toast, not a toaster).

So? Any suggestions for improvements, especially to the rear parts? The bump on top is the cockpit, so that gives an idea of scale. It's a rather large bomber with nothing funky and non-functional poking out. It'd look better with textures of course!

What a about a single strip light (Millenium Falcon style) instead of the four exhausts? :)

I remember I once left a bag of Liquorice Allsorts out in the sun on a really hot day, the contents of the bag looked curiously like that model..... ;)
