Listen to "Live to Win" by Paul Stanley of Kiss.  Best montage song since Eye of the Tiger, and not a bad workout song.

I'm a sucker for montage songs. :)

Suggs

But normally a bit of dance music, or drum and bass.
Prodigy is best for weights though, free wreights or machines alike, for Jogging i like bittersweet symphony by the verve.

Also, "Training Montage" from the Rocky IV soundtrack makes anyone run faster/longer.

I usually don't play music unless it's dance dance revolution, and when i'm on ridiculously long bike rides it's metal for me.

I can't say I get much exercise other than walking around campus, but my usual eclectic mix on my MP3 player suffices for that.  Everything from classic rock to video game remixes to anime OSTs.

Substitute the country for some classic rock and ya got me.

I really hurt after the stress test on thursday. But, long term goal is to run a 5K in 30 minutes.

You can borrow my job for a month, that'll get you into shape right quick. Assuming you can still walk after the first day, at any rate. They owe me a month off anyway for all the overtime work I've been pulling :p

As for music, I tend to find that a lot of movie themes make for great listening while you're pushing yourself. Anything that works in an on-screen battle or other adrenaline-rich situation generally works well for exercise too.

Man if i go running, i leave the mp3 player behind. I have fast music so it ends up making me run too fast and get pooped out way too fast. Now if i'm on my bike, different story. The mp3 player comes with me  I need to steal another old fashioned speed bike. That thing was nice, the gear shifters were located at the stem of the handlebars. That way i could peddle my ass off on a low gear, and instantly shift to a really high speed, and get cruising fast. I loved my old speed bike i got for free (i spray painted it). If i was peddling my ass off on it i could do 30mph on flat ground, it was hard to sustain though. My beefier mountain bike doesn't have as high as gears as my old free bike, but at least i got something to ride. My speed bike took a **** on me :(
