Title: FS Port?
Post by: colecampbell666 on June 12, 2007, 02:32:55 pm
IIRC I read somewhere that if you put FreeSpace port into your INFA folder you could run FSPort with railguns etc. But then, when I read the INFA online readme, it says that you cannot use FSPort in conjunction with INFA?
If someone could help, I would like to play FS1 with the added features (railguns etc.).

You need the next INFA release to run the port, and it doesn't add railguns to the FS1 campaign.

Well I suppose it does if you mess up your installation I guess. :P

At this point, I want to know if the compatability with Cardinal Spear is something we can get...

I'd need to rebuild it like Awakenings as it uses its own tables.

...and effects. I think it's something you should do...

Awakenings only has five extra ships, three of which are nameplated Orions.  Cardinal Spear has an entirely different ships.tbl.

I haven't looked at CS tables yet but to get it running probably wouldn't be difficult, but getting it to run with the rest of the stuff without breaking something might.

Awakenings was easy to port over, took me 10 minutes and will be included in the base INFA download (without voice acting)
