Anyone who's played Homeworld and watched the credits should remember this... but I figured I'd make a very rapid version of it:

Back in the days, there was a advertizement for Freespace1. It was a pamphlet that showed your ship compared to the capital ships. I'm not sure if you guys got it though.

It just reminded me about that.

ya... its one of the main reasons i love this game...

you DO feel small in comparision to the Capital ship's where as in games such X-wing Allinace you dont really feel all that small

Although I do remember the one you mean, but Homeworld featured a similar image at the end of the credits.

And oddly enough, the grid size is almost identical to my desktop icon spacing.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Those Icons, it's a conspiracy I tell you... Ehh, no wait, I made that grid, that must mean I would be the conspirator. Scrap that then.

I've got your original version of this on my background at work. Very nice! I like the grid effect too. Gives it a very computerised look. Like out from some kind of navigational board.:)
