Title: What is the diff between primaries and Dogfight primaries?

I'm kind of confused. Why are there two tables denoting weapon effectiveness?  I can't seem to find an explanation.

Is the first table the weapons damage versus non-fighters and the second table its damage versus fighters? I'm just not understanding this whole -D marker because I don't think I've seen seperate weapons with a -D marker.

Maybe it is a multiplayer thing? Where against other human opponents weapons have a reduced effect?

Got it in one.

Dogfight primaries are only usable in multiplayer dogfight mode so as to balance the weapons out a bit more.

Wow. Thank you for the amazingly quick response.

I look forward to playing online with a few of you folks. I've probably uninstalled and reinstalled FS3 and finished it around 5 times over again since I first bought it on release day (and couldn't get it to play since I had to download that patch - haha).

Must be a follow up from a dream or something.  Probably were I won the lotto and dumped some silly amount (much to my fiancee's disappointment) to get someone, to somehow, build an FS-.. uhm.. FS(2+1)

Dogfighter weapons are more optimismised for really clkose up battles.  The Best dogfight weapons are the Subach and Mekuhu, because the Prom S and the Kayser get nerfed rather badly, in terms of damage.
