I keep getting an error with the freespace port that came with the FS2SCP.
Everytime I load the game and would normally enter the main hall (after selecting a pilot), the screen goes black and keeps bringing up errors such as:
Error!
Error: Invalid ship type "GTF Myrmidon" found in $Ship Choices: of campaign file
File: D:C\++\Freespace\fs2_open\code\Parse\PARSELO.CPP

or

And it keeps bringing up these errors, can you help me fix this problem?
Also when Lobo said:
I saw a thread about this subject earlier.

Go and get that, then extract it to your fsport folder and it should work.
The link no longer works.

You get an A+ for searching for the problem before posting. You get an F- for reading comprehension. Those are not the same errors. :p The fact that you started up the game successfully indicates that you have sparky_hi_fs1, as required.
You must not have selected a campaign from the campaign room. If you play the FSPort mod, you need to select a FSPort-compatible campaign from the Campaign Room. ("The Main FreeSpace Campaign" is a good place to start.) You can't play the FreeSpace 2 campaign on the FreeSpace 1 mod, just like you can't play Wing Commander Saga on the Battlestar Galactica mod.

I meant to say earlier that I had managed to fix the problem on my own. But now I have another one, in that I can't view the Freespace 1 cutscenes from the tech room, is there anyway to fix this?

There is, but it's a bit complicated. It will be fixed in version 3.1 though. Your best bet is to simply watch them outside of SCP using an OGG-enabled media player.

Could you give me any examples of OGG-enabled media players?

VLC Media Player will play ogg files. Actually it plays pretty much any format available.

Thanks for helping me with that problem, however I know have ANOTHER problem. This problem was covered in the "Re: Worrying Silent Threat Error Messages " topic a while back (this problem was for version 3.0.3). I keep getting this error message whenever I start up the Freespace Port (I'm using 3.0.4):
Error: Invalid ship type "SF Dragon#3 (Player)" found in $Ship Choices: of campaign file
File:D:\C++\Freespace\fs2_open\code\Parse\PARSELO.CPP
Line: 2490

Goober had posted a solution for the problem:
Good catch. I'll have to fix this in the download.
In the meantime, put the attached file in FreeSpace2\data\missions to fix it
However...

I was wondering if I could by any chance get a copy of whatever file that was so I can fix this problem.
Also just after I destroy Jutenheim Station, the Freespace Port suddenly gives the standard windows error message of encountering an error. I was wondering has this happened to anyone else?
I am running under Windows XP and running FS2 Open in OpenGL mode if that helps.
