The subject says it all. Who's gonna see it, what do you want in it, and how soon do you think you'll see it? It's coming out May 16th btw, which is a Thursday (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/confused.gif) I don't know why.
Most of all, I'm looking forward to Yoda busting out his lightsaber! And I think the whole romance thing might turn out to be a little corny but hey, ya gotta live with it for Star Wars! So whadda ya'll think?

Personally, I think the subtitle says it all. I'm not going, had I particularly liked the series from the start I'd say the new one will if anything sully the Star Wars name even more than the last. However, I only thought them OK, so I'm just avoiding it because it's gonna suck.
-
Maybe, but I think this one will be better than the last one. I hope anyway. I think it will cuz it'll have bigger battles, better battles, and cooler battles. I hope.
-
I can just imagine...
[bridge scene, overlooking large ugly planet effect- some Important Dude stands facing window]
[That Jedi guy who was played by the ****head teenage actor in the last movie appears]
Jedi dude: Master! We must leave- now!
Important dude: What?
Jedi dude: They've cloned that cutesy baby-talking alien thing- 400 times!
[title sequence]

maybe...and if thats so, I will react very violently cuz I am to Star Wars what the Trekkies are to Star Trek (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
[EDIT] Well maybe not that badly obsessed actually.

I love Episodes IV, V, and VI with a passion. I named myself after my favorite character in the trilogy. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
That doesn't stop me from saying, though, that Episode I **** **** a **** ** ****** and ****** **** ******* with a *******.
I have no idea what to expect from Episode 2.

I'll do like for episode 1: I'll wait for a divx (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
-
I'll go see it after its been out for a month. I want to know if they send in a Vulture Team to clean up the clones and if Rusty the Scrubot will save the day.

It's something to do for the afternoon, so... yes.
-
I'm gonna go watch it for Boba Fett. It'll be funny to see this lil' boy as Boba and laughing cause you know the poor lil' sucker's gonna get digested by the Sarlaac. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) Otherwise, I wanna see Yoda fight. I just can't imagine how it can be done!
-
First off, I probably will see it, and if it's anything like Ep I, I'll find it to be mediocre. Secondly, it's not Boba we'll be seeing, but Jango, Boba Fett's father. Thirdly, Fett did not die in the sarlaac. He lived, and has since continued his bounty hunting ways. And I sure hope you weren't dissing him back there, Fett's my favorite SW char (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I didn't know he didn't die, but I sure hoped he wouldn't (after reading the comics, no doubt he could have toasted the beast from the inside, if it didn't die from the explosion of jabba's ship anyway). And yeah, it's my favourite SW character too (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) ( and he has my favourite SW ship).

Probably not, since I never see any movies. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) (lol only seen three or four in my life)

Ah, Venom. you must be missing out on quite a few of the novels Fett has stared in. Try looking for the Bounty Hunter SW series...eh...I think I got that name wrong...it's been at least two years since i've touched a novel not school related. My PS2 and my computer have taken over my life. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/nervous.gif)

Actually, I've missed... all the SW novels. there's none available down there in France. The few french editions are difficult to find.

I think Fett's escape from the Sarlaac can be found in the book, 'Tales from Mos Eisley'.

How does he do?

A concussion grenade then he crawls out through the hole,IIRC. Later he returns and kills the Sarlaac.

Yikes! Ok, let me get this straight, I AM A HUGE BOBA FETT fan!!! I swear, I got all the comics, books, a damn plastic statue and his helmet! So I wasn't dissing him there.
Secondly, Boba IS in the AOTC but as a little boy. Yes, I also know it is his father Jango who is doing all the moves in the trailer. Check out the latest behind the scenes clip at http://www.starwars.com ("http://www.starwars.com") ! It's all about the Fetts.
Thirdly, Yes I would like to accept the fact that Boba survived the Sarlaac, cause all his adventures afterwards are damn sweet. But I have to stick to what Lucas has done with Boba so far. I dunno if he in fact has stated that Boba survived, but I've heard him say somewhere that he does indeed die in ROTJ. He is the creator of the Star Wars stories, so I take his scope on the Star Wars stories first before another writer/comic writer. Yes I know some of his ideas that had come up in the new movies seemed to have taken the shine and mystisism away from what we thought and learnt throughout the books and comics, but as I said, he is the one who makes it fact, not the other way round. Much like the fact that Chewbacca dies in that New Jedi Order book. Yeah, like I'll ever believe that! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/rolleyes.gif)
Once Lucas clearly states that Boba indeed survived, then I'll believe it. Even though I am a PURE Boba Fett fan.

Anyway, honestly, how could he die in that beast? cmon, the sarlac didn't chew him or anything, and it's stated it takes years for the monster to... huh, I don't have the english word, but you know what I mean. So the guy is in the sarlac stomach, he has his armor which probably provides him with air and stuff, and he has a whole array of weaponary along with it. Will he sit down and wait to die? Don't think so. If he unloads his lasers in the stomach, the sarlac will die. then it's just a matter of time for bobba to crawl out. The other guys, if they can get some air somehow, could even survive too.

In "Tales from Jabba's Palace" if I remember correctly gives a damn good story of how he got out. It all takes place with him inside. And you're right, it does take along time for the Sarlaac to digest someone, hence there is the first person to fall into the sarlaac still alive, deranged, and willing to strike up a little chit chat with Boba. Well, as we all know Boba isn't much of a talker and you can pritty much guess what happens. Yes, his armor did infact protect him somewhat from the digestive acids, but he still got horribly scared afterwards, crawling out of the pit with nothing but his helmet on. If I remember correctly he tore the sarlaac a new hole through which he got out. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
I consider the books/comics/games seperate from the movies. So when I read the books or comics, I believe that Boba is alive, cause they say so (not to mention that I believe that he deserves to survive as well). But when I watch the movies, I belive he died.
Much like the mods of FS. I doubt anyone who makes them tries to make them coencide with everyother one that comes out? So its more of a What If? universe for me, the comics/books/games.
Also on the title of this movie... Attack of the Clones... Hmmm, I know I was in shock when I heard it too. I laughed. But then I realised that I did the same for The Phantom Menace. Now that I've gotten used to that title its not so bad. As I look at the movies now as a whole, you could in fact think that they are no longer movie titles. But in fact chapter/episode titles. Which they are. Star Wars is the actual title. The others are just chapter titles. So they don't really have to be spectacular, just informative and gives the basic gist of what's going to happen in the chapter. So the third movie's gonna be probably called "Fall of the Jedi" or something. Just to give the basic idea what's going to happen. I'm happy they aren't titles like "The One Where Anakin turns Bad" or "Two Siths Are Better than One" (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) It's like saying that only people with blond hair and blue eyes can become Jedi.
I think somebody has some rethinking to do on that aspect of the story *hint hint nudge nudge*

If AOTC's got Natalie Portman in, I'm watchin' it.

AMEN!!! Sheesh - how corny could Lucas make it??
Personally, Ep1 was cool the first time, but rapidly grew cornier by the rerun. I must insert a huge applaud here for the lightsaber choreography, and the pod race was good, too. But the acting was completely emotionless, with Anakin's mother being by far the best actor of the bunch. I don't say this lightly, either - I know what kind of acting can come from people such as Portman and Neeson (queeny and Qui-Gon), but in Ep1 they absolutely sucked.
However, from the trailers it looks like Ep2 has improved in that regard, so yeah, I'm gonna see it as soon as I can. :)

Nobody sucked as much as Jake Lloyd, tho.
