What is it (corvette, cruiser, etc.)? Looks very Terran, so I assume it is...

i'd say it's terran, yes. As for what it is... i haven't decided. Since it has a hangar would probably rule out a Corvette, tho.

CROPPING == GOOD.
Looks like some sort of terran cargo hauler to me. It looks good, for the most part, but I agree with Venom: It needs more detail on that rear bit.

Smooth off the port and starboard boxes on the aft end and bulk out the nacelles at the end of the pylons (of course then you go from TIE Defender to StarTrek). After that, I'd say its done and sexy.

Two comments.
Firstly, IMO, it looked better before you added the pylons. Personally, I liked the unbalanced look.
Secondly, give the pylons a different texture. That station light texture just doesn't looke right on the pylons.

Mabye i should invest into an alternative modeller program other than TS.

Perhaps Shrike is right. Keep the aft end detail, but see about changing the nacelles and pylon structure out for an asymmetrical arrangement of 'building' like bits. The Argo and that one Vasudan freighter come to mind.

Well, currently I call it Wayland (as in Wayland class, I guess). Think Alien, without the Yutani.
Decided to remove the Nacelle/pulon thing.
Placed a dockingring there instead.

corvette, definitely, and just because i has a fighter bay doesnt mean it cant be one. Judging from the looks of it, its too big to be a cruiser and too small for a destroyer. Add some turrets and you're set.

I'll never stop being amazed at low poly work. This one looks so FS2 even before texture. Great work.
are the textures a preset of some kind?
Or can you make totally different textures?
I have loaded TS5 on my system 2 weeks ago. thinking I might try some stuff with it.
It totally obliterated my sys files replaced so many dll's that nothing would work anymore. I had to make a brand new windows install. even reinstalling windows on top of the old one did not help.
I was so pissed at MR. Caligaris and his crappy program...

The only 'custom' texture on it is the docking/airlock texture.
EDIT: It's 10-20% longer than a Deimos, btw.
