The worst thing about ebay is looking up that old piece of junk you figure might actually have become a collector's item and be worth something, only to discover it's worth **** all.
-
Keep it another 50 years. Then you'll laughing.
Or note the people who buy your collectors item, hunt them down and smash them, thereby creating a demand. :D

Yes, we will present tense. :p
Sorry, I've got nothing else right now.

Actually, the worst thing is to have an item that is worth something, but to put off listing it (laziness) until it no longer is. I have one of the old USR V.Everything 56k modems that used to go for over $100 not so long ago, maybe in 2004, but nobody buys them now. :p

I guess it's like stocks and shares. It's all about picking the right moment. But what is the right moment to sell my Fighting Fantasy - Talisman of Death book which appears to be worth but 50p?
-
What you do, is you take everyday mundane objects, and make up some person and act like they're all important and say "OMG!! SO AND SO WORE THIS LEFT SOCK!!!! IT"S WORTH A MILLION DOLLARS!!!".
