Title: How do you change the default starfield in SCP?
Post by: x101xtreme on June 30, 2007, 04:34:20 pm
Hey I'm new here and I've been wondering how to change the density in the starfield. In a past thread, someone (Herra Tohtori) posted a screenshot of what they did.

Can anyone give me instructions on how to do this? Thanks.

Get a new skybox texture. Ask around.

Is that something I have to create myself? And if so, which programs do I need?

If someone else has already created a new skybox texture, is it possible for me to use theirs?

thanks.

Changing the number of stars in FRED:

You can start with that... or are you talking about something else?

I think he's talking about the skybox, not the actual stars.

What Herra has done is get a new skybox texture which has more stars on it. You can do it yourself if you have photoshop. You could modify the starfield texture, called 'starfield0001.dds'.
