Make more? :p

Only suggestion I'd have would be to eliminate the dual rings - they'd surely not be able to form like that. Even if the planet was knocked over ala neptune, the rings wouldn't move with it, and even if they somehow did, the constant collisions at the intersection point would breakdown te first ring while the second was forming. Still, I guess they look good.

The first (IMO) was rushed/really bad. Although the second I take a little more pride in, I worked pretty hard on that sucker.

@Black Wolf - Thanks and your right, but hey, the dual rings are an extremely cool imagination sparker  :)
I will make more I just need to tweak up this this earth-ish planet up a bit. I'm happy with the water, not so much the clouds, the shadow needs to be fixed, so I'll work some more on this when I'm off work doing my college's brochures :p

I have a quick question...

What format/dpi/resolution/ect. does the file need to be for it to be read in freespace?
Just give me info and I'll make it happen.

But they look sooooo cool!  :eek2:

There was a whole thread on planets, if you dig deeply enough.. need to get you together with whoever was doing this...

EDIT: Here you go.. for once the HLP forum search worked correctly.

I like the second one. Excellent.

The first needs better textures, but other than that, excellent. I don't think I could have don't something like that.

Thanks, it's time consuming creating the perfect textures but I agree that the first is nasty

Here is an update to the second one

How's this for a planet.   All original textures and models done by myself.   100% 3D Studio MAX, no photoshop.
