Hello frrespace friends!
Since the first time i´ve played freespace i wnated to accumulate my status in the same pilot, in order to keep my medals ans numbers of kills and all that stuff that usually are guarded inside the pilot profile.
However, after installing the FSCP, the game automatically create a new pilot, with the same name but with all the statics lined to zero, everytime i start a new mod or campaing. Note that the problem is not the my pilot profile is being deleted every time i start a new campaing, but the program create a new pilot that have the states of that mod especifically and that don´t add the statics with the oder ones.
Is there any solution for this?
Thanks, and i really like the new mods!

It's reccomended to use different pilots for each mod and campaign you play. If you use the same pilot for many mods and campaigns, the pilot file may become corrupted and you have to create a new pilot. Not a nice thing if it happens when you have almost finished a very long and difficult campaign...
If you want to use the same pilot without it becoming corrupted, you'll have to wait for one of the next releases of FS_Open (3.6.10 or 3.7? I don't remember...), which will feature a new pilot code.
Finally,
:welcome:

I heard it was 3.6.10, which should be out .. (within the month?)
-
The month?! YAY!!! And, yeah. I finished FS2, Renegade Ressurgence, and (PI), I think it was and then my pilot became corrupted and I lost my triple ace. :D

Sorry but the new pilot code stuff is in 3.7 which won't be out for around a year.
That said if you don't swap campaigns midway through it's not that easy to corrupt a pilot file. Simply back up Freespace2\Data\Players\Single every once in a while and you're golden.

So...
I´ll start making backups every time i stop playing!
Thanks for the help and for the greetings.
I´ll be waiting ansiously for the 3.7!
See you all around!

I was going to say, I've been using the same pilot file for multiple campaigns since 3.6.9 was released (and probably a bit longer than that), and I haven't run into any problems so far.
*watches as his pilot corrupts horribly the very next time he runs FS2*
