Title: SCP Online?
Post by: colecampbell666 on July 07, 2007, 06:20:32 pm
As of today you need a separate launcher to play FS2 SCP online. Will this launcher be merged with the 3.6.10 final launcher?

And P.S - When is the ETA for 3.6.10?

To play on FS2netD you need an alternate launcher. The thread is on GW. I think it's here too. I think it's stickied on GW.

Yes and no. You need the SCP launcher, not the original FS2 launcher, so for newcomers, the answer is yes. But since that launcher is already distributed with every new release, for most people who have been here a few days or more, the answer is no. And by the way, anyone trying the launcher linked from the stickied GW thread might end up with trouble - That thing is from 2004. Presumably MatthewPapa just forgot to upload the more recent versions as they came out, as the rest of the FS2NetD FAQ is up to date.

Oooooohhhhh... So The SCP launcher from 3.6.9 is multi-ready. Do i need any other files, or is PXO.cfg (or whatever) already downloaded with turey's installer?

To my knowledge, the installer downloads everything you need. You still need to configure your network in the SCP launcher and set your multi preferences in the in-game options screen, though.

Reminds me. I'm going to have to fix that post before the next version of the launcher comes out since it points to that thread IIRC.
