Title: TGA Conversions
Post by: colecampbell666 on July 08, 2007, 04:45:22 pm
Anyone know how to convert a ton of TGAs (a.k.a screenshots) to .PNG or .BMP quickly without having to open IrfanView etc. and convert each one separately?

Open up infranview
File->Batch Coversion
Add the files you would like to convert
At the bottom, make sure "Batch Conversion" radio button is ticked
Output to Jpeg

Question...  WHY BMP?

IF you intend to repost them (for example) online BMP is way bigger than a jpg and will waste bandwidth and upload space.

Before I post screens I make then sized under forum framing limits and save them to jpg.

JPGs are only like 60 kbs compared to a 2.25 mb TGA. There is no reason to resize a JPG to save size! Use lvlshot.
