I All ,my first release
3D -> Wings3D
Texturing -> The Gimp
I use Wings3D Sine 6 mounth and Gimp 3, I'm under Linux and I've a problem to edit guns and turret Truespace doen't work under Linux, how i can do it with blender?

Oh and the Blender is supposed to have a wire frame editor.

Not bad, reminds me a lot of the Pyro :) You know you don't need modeled thruster plumes anymore, right?

For the record, I think the ship is bloody brilliant. Completely non-freespacey of course, but you obviously weren't going for the used, industrial look most FS ships have. Whatever you were going for though, I think you hit it.

Kaz, until you find some problem in the lucifer, aeolus, triton, tc-tri, zeus, loki or any of the uglies that were all almost entirely modeled in Blender (the last 3 having been modeled AND mapped in Blender) that was caused BY Blender, then you have no ground to stand on.
As I've tried to tell you in apparent vain so many times now, you're still complaining about an error that was present in one of the earliest versions of a now open-source, almost unrecognisable program that occured when exporting a dodgey format that isn't even used anymore and importing it into an even more dodgey then-current version of TS.
What you're doing is akin to someone advising people not to ever use PCS2 because of the fact that at one stage it was unable to save shields properly and would cause a crash in game. Come on - as a programmer you should know better than most exactly how it works: it was a bug that has long since been fixed. Nothing more.

Awesome job!
IF you wanted to make that a more Fs-ish type design all you need to do is trim the fuselage in bit (looks kinda "fat" ATM)
But definitely looks like something I've seen in scroller shooter games... Nice!

how I created my texture very simply
When you have finished your model cut it in two parts

Then Uvmapping

After I export my Uv into Gimp

To test your Uv in reale time just clic refresh under wings3d

tracker: ship is too smooth, but otherwise good
VA: people still use truespace 3.2 which is older than the versions of blender with the problem. if you can get blender to work with newer versions have at it, i still don't much care for the program because all the grief it caused me.

Yeah I can understand you not liking it because of those early problems, but please don't scare newbie modelers away from what is long since a completely stable and free modeling platform by saying it produces bad data or anything, because that's just not true anymore.
Someone performing booleans in TS 3.2 is a far scarier thing than anything a newbie in blender can screw up. :p
