Stealth's post reminded me that I wanted to do this. We haven't had a look at everyone's ride in awhile, so I figured I should start a thread! :D
Here's mine, a 1997 Chevy Malibu. 60,xxx+ miles. The left headlight doesn't work, the engine stalls out randomly (or if I give it too much gas at once), it sputters, I took out the catalytic converter because it got so clogged the engine wouldn't start, I used to have a roach problem until I laid down two boxes of roach motels, the front two blinkers don't work, my liscence plate is held on by a nut/bolt and a zip-tie, I have no windshield wipers (have to stick my head out the window when it's raining) aaaand my CD player doesn't work/my cassette player switches the tapes' sides every couple of seconds. I also never get more than one passenger, so the rear seats have gotten...a tad messy.
EDIT: Oh, and I know it looks like an automatic, but the gear timing is off or something, so I actually have to manually shift it if I don't want it to sputter out on me when climbing a hill/starting from a stop light. So basically I drive it like a manual. :D
But I do love her so :)

A fine example of the "island car". :D

I have a bicycle. It gets me everywhere I need to go within a perfectly reasonable amount of time.

Warning, Huge, Crappy Pictures Abound!
I guess I'll pimp all four rides. I technically only drive one of them, but my parents and sister don't typically have problems with me driving the other three.
First off, my baby--a 1997 Subaru Outback. This car replaced the 96 Subaru Legacy I totalled last year, and it's been quite a good car. Being the total hick wannabe that I am and impatient to get a truck, I typically drive with the backseats down and with an unholy amount of crap in the trunk (which I sometimes use to lug stuff around for my church and neighbors). It's not exactly beautiful, but it's a good car.

Again, technically not my ride, but I can drive these two when I feel like it. After I wrecked the '96, my parents used the insurance money to go buy two new cars. Top is a 2006 Honda Civic, and the bottom is a 2003 Honda CR-V.

The final one is my sister's car, a mid-90's Mazda 626. It's overall a good car, except for the fact that the lights are kinda hit-and-miss with being on and off--tail lights, headlights, turn signals, et. al. (what do you expect out of a Ford-owned company :p )

Again, sorry that the pics suck, but this was all done while writing this post. :p

Hey Nuclear...that Civic that you said is a 2003 looks more like a 2006...just a wrong angle or a bad interpretation on my part? The 2003 Civic Coupe never looked that good before :)
I don't own a car yet...I want to buy a car...I don't commute far enough away to justify owning one yet so I get dropped off (everyone in the family works in the same 5km right now so its a bit strange). Looking to buy a Mazda3 or a Honda Civic or something like that. I've test driven almost a dozen cars over the last 6 months in preparation for when I do actually need one...I'm very much confused on what I want now...I was more certain before. I think I may settle on the Honda Civic for the fuel economy, decent handling, and safety combination. We'll see....maybe something new will be out that will grab my interest by the time I can justify owning one.

D'oh, you're right, it is a 2006. Correction made. :)
But yeah, you're right, it is a pretty slick car. Not bad on the MPG either.

You still win. That is a "test" version of the F/A-18. Notice the needle on the nose? Fighters only have those when they are in testing phase.

My ride. Its kinda hard to find parking space for it, but some how traffic isn't much of a problem.

I have absolutely NO idea why, but I actually did laugh OUT LOUD at those two posts.

Replace the crankshaft position sensor and those problems should go away.

i'll be getting my dodge stealth soon-ish... I'll post pics when I get it.

Whats a good beginning car?
-
a mclaren :p.
-
a mclaren :p.
Ya know, that's actually my dream car. Specifically the one Rowan Atkinson keeps crashing, if for nothing other than to keep it from getting crashed so much.
-
A Hyundai... heck, they're a good car period. :p

Quite simply brilliant.

I have a mobile home.

No. No they are not. Hyundai symbolise all that is wrong with modern cars.
I got a picture of this, on the side of a late 80s Opel Monza at the big UK Vauxhall/Opel/GM meet last week
(http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m101/E555KHY/B00.jpg)
Couldn't have put it better myself ;)

You are quite a bit behind the times with that one, pal. Hyundai has matured greatly over the past 5 years. I would say that they are now on-par when it comes to reliability and features. They arent top-tier quite yet, but they're as good as the 2nd rate GM cars atleast, and WAY better than Fords.
Kia on the other hand...
-
Is owned by Hyundai... and according to some report (will have to search for it), new Hyundais have better reliability & safety than I forget the name but it was something shocking like VW or BMW or one of those uppity Euro luxury car makers... as well as better than almost all American made cars.
-
hundays are a peace of **** period, each and every one of em need maitenance twice a year on the first 2 nd 3 rd year and by then all you have left of the car is a frame.
german cars are excellent and reliable
frenchies, if you get a proper model aka (peugeot 407) then you can feel pretty safe about it not falling appart, 3 year warranty and all
then come the japs(honda is same as frenchies, accord semes to be decent, others tend to fall apart).
-
3 years warranty!!! oh yes, that's really nice... how about 10 yr / 100,000 mile? :p pantzed
-
Dad just bought one of these (ours is blue.. I can't be bothered to take a picture, you get the idea)...
It's now powerful by todays standards but damn, it sounds beautiful.
-
So tweak de engine! XD Or stick a new one in. The best fun ever would be to have a humongously powerful engine in there, and totally blow away a mid-performance sports car. ;7

And that's why you go out and buy a GM/Chevy car :p

Both of my "Old faithfuls".
Took both through hell and back, both still run like the day they were bought. :p

One does not **** with the engine of an MGB unless to restore it to it's original state.

or just drop in the rover v8.....
-
Okay, yes... but the MG lads kinda did that themselves with the MG RV8 so it's not too sinful.
-
waste of a good V8, IMHO.....
