Space empires. You get to design your own ships too, though resource management is a *****. I'm frankly fustrated that i can't fit 200 cannons into my dreadnought. I mean come on! its got all that empty space!

Nexus is a 3D rts in my view :p

I want a game where i can deploy fleet saround a 3d tactical map in , and fyl real-time against the aggressors, like that old starwars game but not as pants in itsa management.

Homeworld + Freespace = Homespace

Well, X3 has both those elements, but, to my mind, does everything 'averagely', there's nothing really to stand out about the game, and the trading aspect of it gets extremely repetitive and boring, even with the auto-trading features.

It would be nice to have a game that played like Homeworld, but was more involved around developing and building an Empire. And wasn't an MMO.

What old Star Wars game?

He might be referring to Star Wars Rebellion, an RTS for the PC.

Homeworld + FreeSpace =
-Watching the Galatae blow up from further away.
-Watching all your wings named 'Interceptors' blowing up OTHER wings named 'Interceptors'.
-Subsystems that can be blown off only exist on gigantic ships. All other ships don't NEED subsystems.
-Watching a few bomber wings blow up your expensive destroyer.
-Stopping their next huge bomber rush using Alpha wing.
-Stopping their entire war plan using Alpha wing.
-Actually winning the war against the Shivans this time.
-Learning that blockades work better when your ships' beams are pointed where the enemy is expected.
-Watching your ion cannons- err, excuse me, mobile Mjolnirs take down their fleet.
-Sending massive bomber strikes against the Sathanas instead of using the Colossus and Alpha wing.
-TeH OfFiciaL FreESpAcE RTS1!!!!11!2!!` (or FreeSpace 1.5*2)

Homeworld plus freespace.........

I mean a p[an galactic combat game but with fleet control on a homeworld style, then being able to jump into a fighter/bomber for up close and personal stuff should you choose to :D

In other words dekker wants the pressure of being the president in the battlefield where almost every gun tries to shoot him down  :D

I've still got a copy of that laying around. I didn't like it much when I was younger, but now it can be entertaining.

Dekker, go check out Space Empires. You can't jump into one of the ships, but you can control an assload of them...

... As well as having to manage an entire empire.

I've thought about that option myself, apparently it wasn't included in Homeworld because it was practically impossible to fly the ships without colliding with stuff using their physics engine or getting hopelessly lost.
