Link (http://www.gamershell.com/pc/tarr_chronicles_sign_of_ghosts/screenshots.html?id=34)
It seems to feature the traditional animated ship with a hanger deck and a pilots cabin. Tarr is scheduled for a September release, its already been localized.

OMG ENGLISH
-
Who are the publishers ... this game has been flying under my radar apparently.
-
It's a Russian game. Which is probably why you hadn't heard of it. Until now it looked like the game itself would be in Russian only which basically would have been a disaster for the publishers as the majority of people salivating over it aren't Russian. :)
-
The only russian game i am familiary acquainted with is Big Rigs, which left a less-then-desirable opinion on Russian dessigners.
-
Paradox is publishing it in Europe and CDV in North America. One of the reasons Tarr received attention here earlier was the HUD, very Freespace looking.
-
I wonder if i'll see this game in singapore ... probably not. The games i tend to see here are all the big name publishers.

Go take a look at IL-2 series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IL-2_Sturmovik_(computer_game)) if you want to reconsider the opinion about Russian designers in general.
As to this game... I hope it'll be good, let's wait and see. If it's a good one, I hope someone has made their homework regarding the gravely erronous ways of Interplay's promotion sector... :nervous:
-
Would i be alone if i prayed every night that Interplay would collapse or that they would sell the Freespace rights to THQ.
-
*eyes closed, fingers crossed*
please be moddable, please be moddable, please be moddable...
-
I'm worried the translation will be ****.
-
*shrugs* the screenshots look pretty *****in' at least.

Same here.

Sure, it's nothing terrible, but it feels so wooden.

Meh, TO ME, the combat screens look like starshatter. As for the animated cabon, you had that first in Star Trek Academy in like 95 and then later in X wing alliance (so the concept is nothing new)... Plus the screens don't jump out at me, yet.
I'll wait and see a bit before I get excited.

My point in mentioning the cabin wasn't that it was a new idea (its not) but that the developers are referencing one the conventions of Western space sims such as Freespace, X-Wing, and the like. To take that point further the HUD is largely Freespace derivative.
