Title: Not what I expected
Post by: Locutus of Borg on July 13, 2007, 04:38:42 pm
I downloaded FS2 and was told I'd get the full version with scenes and mods.

I got FS2, no scenes and if you're more than 100 units from something it looks like a ****ing cube, no matter what shape it is.

on top of that, no mods.

I FEEL LIKE VENTING MY RAGE

Enter main hall, press F2, go to Detail at the top and raise your Model Detail level. If nothing happens, then I have no idea what your problem is.

:wtf:

No matter what shape it is? What if it's a sphere? Is it still a cube?

Planets which are spherical (as far as we know) were cubes

First problems that come to mind is perhaps ,

1. The download was interrupted or corrupted for some reason or other. (Has happened to me before)
2. The installation didnt work properly.

Try re-downloading and re-installing. Might seem tedious and annoying, but it seems like a possibly solution.

NO! IIRC, he's already done that, several times. We need to know what the problem is, not say, "Hey, reinstall and hope it works" over and over.

Hey guys, I made a careless error.

I launched FS2 on the FS2 launcher instead of the SC launcher, sorry for the worry.

Now that qualified as "Not what I expected." Very fitting for this topic.
