looks like starting a new pilot profile would solve this problem to me.
-

Go to Data\Players\Single and delete anything in there (create an empty folder if you don't have one) and then run the game again.
-

reinstall TBP or even FSO?

Hmmm. I got to thinking, and I have a question for gavinmc30. That is if i`m right on this at all :nervous:
My question is, have you played the retail version of fs2?
I may be going out on a limb here, but if you haven`t, then I may know whats going wrong.
Did you click on the accecpt button with the mouse, if yes to this question, then there`s your problem.
After putting in your pilot name, hit the enter key.
If this helps you out of this, then i`ll have a beer. ;)
-
why, whats the difference between hitting accept and pressing enter?
-
Its what was instructed in the fs2 manual. :)
Edit I have retail fs2. And play with fs2open.
Edit2 I should have explained this. When you create a new pilot you have to hit the enter key.
To play a used pilot you only need to left mouse click..
On second thought, I think i`ll have a cup of coffee, its easier on my head than beer.

e:\ is just the location where the file was built on the programmer's computer; this message helps him to debug... hopefully someone helps you soon. :D
EDIT: BTW, why aren't you using 3.4  .. 3.4 is the latest version... uninstall everything and just use 3.4, I think that might help.

I Read on the Website of TBP that this was a Beta release so I don't download it
I'll download it now ^^

Good. 3.4 works. And it comes with Raider Wars and Earth-Minbari War Demo. So you don't need to get those separately. Also, you're best forgetting the TBP website, since it isn't really up to date. Just keep your eyes on these forums.

When Orph and Kara have updated 3.4 Final to 3.4 No We're Really Serious It's Final This Time... I will update the website :).
-
I guess I'll postpone the reinstallation operation until that comes out. Unless we then get 3.4 "Gotcha! This Is the Final Version".
-
3.4 works perfectly ^^
TNX
