hi folks,
yesterday i am download the 3.3 package with 3.3a patch and Minbari+Raider War
now occurs a Problem: in minbari War all ships are dark and lighted with red color (like Dark red Textures) . The same in raider Wars: all ships and Stations are in Blue. (OpenGL+DX8)
How can i fix this?? i test all parameters in the launcher but no success.
i Use a ATI X800Pro graphics card.
If the Install bug from 3.4 is Fixed (only install to C:) then i try 3.4
Please help. This mod is so great and i love Babylon5 - The best Scifi Series :)
Greetings Peter

This is the 3.4 build for TBP

Hi Wolfy,
Thanks for the forums link, but this version install TBP 3.4 only to Harddisk C:
And this partition of my HD is not so big to install. Only for OS, Drivers and other important stuff.
Now i am looking forward for an alternate package to install on my Games Partition D:

please check the features tab of the launcher....
in the line of custom flags you see:
-ambient_factor 90
but that must be
-ambient_factor 90 90 90
-
Thanks it works - but only with DX8.
with OpenGl same problem.
Is it possible that my OpenGl is to old?
With Wing Commander Saga no problems.

No it mustn't. 90 90 90 will hit the atoi() function and come out with the exact same result as just 90. That would have no effect whatsoever. (I can possibly see it having an effect if you used ambient_factor 9 or less because there is a bug in 3.6.9 with single character command line arguments)

Just a note, if you need to resize a partition, then use Google and search:
Gparted live cd
Get that, resize, when you restart, allow windows to do its chkdsk scan of you hard disk, then your set.

Further back in the thread Wofly posted, there is a download link of TBP 3.4 as a winrar archive.
Simply extract it where you want it, ignore the launcher complaining about the registry ;) (it will fix it while complaining) and enjoy.
-
I seem to have the very same problem.
I just downloaded the 3.4 version (along with the patch). In the previous version I used ships looked just fine. Now ships like Hyperion look red while starfuries very dark. Here's a screenshot from the first mission of EMW:

I really don't know how to fix this.
-
We add nice atmospheric lighting... and you want to fix it? :(
-
Yeah. How disrespectful towards the people responsible for TBP. Redrake; the first thing to come to my mind when looking at that screen was '**** yeah!'. There's abso-****ing-lutely nothing wrong with your TBP compilation. On the contrary. Everything looks great. Just play it and enjoy.

I believe that the ships should look the same in space regardless of the background.
But this still didn't answered my question, is there a way to make them look like they did before blue&white like they show up in the tech room?
-
The reason why that ship is read is because the star in that mission is red. It's an intended effect, but if you really want to change it (can't really see why, but whatever), you need to change the mission so that the light source(s) on the background emit(s) white light instead of red.
I'd just play it, to be honest. There are missions where the light is more "daylight-like", if that's what you like. :p
