Title: Total newbie graphics problem
Post by: Andy Sz on July 23, 2007, 07:05:43 pm
I am new to FS2 Open.  I have a Mac and used the Java installer.  When I try to play the FSPort mod, ships are more or less invisible and the HUD is a solid green block.  What I am doing wrong?

:welcome:

Sounds like a graphics problem.  Two things to try...

1) upgrade your video drivers
2) if that doesn't work, post your video card specs

This isn't the jpg / tga option, is it?  IDK, I'm not a Maccie user... *shrugs*  Do what Goober said, obviously; I'm just asking Goob if this could be an issue as well.

Not if the HUD is a solid green block.

Although, if he's using a Mac, I'm not really sure what else to do aside from updating the drivers. :)

My drivers are up-to-date.  The problem does not occur when playing Freespace 2, just the FSPort.

Umm... that's bizarre. :wtf:

Are you using 3.6.9?

Can you post a screenshot?

And you might want to check out this thread on IMG to see if anyone has experienced anything similar:
