Well first things first. When a explosion happens there are no shockwaves. Second how do I set my radar more then 2K?

I'm not sure, but make sure your jpg,tga option is on in the launcher.  To switch radar range, look to see which key is mapped to that function in the config.  (F2 in-game, controls)
