Speaking of movies made of computer games, you are not gonna believe this:

I even wish they had done a real movie instead of a joke trailer!

Hey! Enough with the smilies.
Also, it is indeed sad that there isn't an actual Minesweeper movie.

THAT was funny...
*snip*
... and THAT is bad spamming. Art is spam. Not smilies.

You know, a single smiley would suffice. Plus it wouldn't give you the reputation of a spammer.
-
which ones are mines...I DONT KNOW!
-
MINES!!!
-
thanks, soldier.

Trailer = funny. :lol:
Mindless spamming = not. :(

My earlier post indicated that I enjoyed the trailer, I don't see how this is either mindless, or spamming.

I would think that using a single 'smiley' would more likely be considered spam... but that's just me.

Whether it counts or not doesn't give you carte' blanche' to spam. Although I wasn't really referring specifically to you, I was referring to the several posts after you.
-
I was aiding Bosch in his plight to clear the minefield, though! :p
-
online co-op with minesweeper is totaly relevant.
-
Someone should seriously make a Minesweeper MMO.
-
Just to clarify here :)
Since you're new BloodEagle, I don't expect you to know this, but we like a high text/smiley ratio in here. Just to make you aware of why people are seeming annoyed about it. Simply typing lol is also, technically Spam, however, it is not Technicolour Spam, and seeing lots of smileys, especially animated ones, can be pretty offputting.
Anyway, that said, it's forgotten, welcome aboard, and hope you enjoy being here :)

Wow, I haven't laughed that hard in weeks.
Guy: Sir, what happens when the clock hits 999?
Sargeant: Nothing. It just means you suck...
 Priceless!
*Wanders off to play Minesweeper*

This is from the same website that hosts the minesweeper trailer.

Other priceless quotes including:
"Oh come on, it's never the first one!"
"He got the number 8! God help us all!"

Hehe...I liked the sinister man with the yellow face.

Ok Yeah!!!*

Oh yeah? BEAT THIS!

It's fake, obviously.

Just you wait!

Actually, there is a cheat in Microsoft Minesweeper (Yes, I know, it makes a whole new level of sadness possible) that enables you to achieve times like zero... google for it if you don't believe. It's just a bit troublesome to use on higher levels, takes too much time.
-
Oh yeah. There's also some dimwitted and mostly pointless cheat in Solitaire. Now that's sad.
-
Sadly this is good for me

Anyhow... I'm lmfao over that trailer

3 seconds!
for real!

 Good stuff.

Pah. You guys don't give Minesweeper enough credit. Yeah, default settings are a joke, but trying to clear a 24x24 grid with 144 mines is challenging as hell. I once spent 45 minutes scouring for clues and deliberating which cell I should click on next. If you want a challenge, I dare you to pull that off. In all my sweeping history, I've only been able to successfully complete those conditions six times, taking several hours, sometimes days. Most often if I'm anywhere near finishing, I just have to wildly guess until I bust, or until I get a break. And with 1 in 4 cells being a mine, it gets very ugly near the end.
Try getting beyond even 50% completion on a 24x24 grid with 144 mines. I dare you.

I used to watch paint dry (okay, it was only the one time) so, as you can imagine, Minesweeper was a huge upgrade. My record on a small game was... 4 seconds, and I forget the record I made on the large battlefield. :D
-
My record on a large battlefield is 1 second.
-
I remember minesweeper when i was 3-4.It sucked to me at that time to. :P

:wtf:
Do you have a life?
-
Yes, a lot bigger than you would think, but sometimes I have nothing better to do. That, and I love the challenge. Minesweeper has always been my favorite mind game.
