Title: Personnel Files: Admiral Ahmose
Post by: Ace on August 10, 2007, 03:55:33 pm
Admiral Ahmose
An admiral of the Vasudan Navy gone rogue, Ahmose is the charismatic leader of the Scion of Vasuda. The SoV is a fanatical cult of Vasudans opposed to the Charon project. The GTVA Security Council and Vasudan Imperium have ordered Ahmose's capture to be of the utmost priority.

Scion of Vasuda
The Scion of Vasuda is a cult comprised of many Vasudans who have become disillusioned with the alliance after the NTF rebellion and the failure of project Colossus. The SoV demands the immediate dismantling of both the GTVA and Vasudan Imperium, claiming that the Emperor has become corrupted by Terran ideologies and is destroying traditional Vasudan culture and values.
The Scion of Vasuda is considered a class A threat by the GTVA security council.

Asekh-Tor
A symbol commonly seen worn by members of the SoV, the Asekh-Tor emblem is a stylized Vasudan. This symbol is intended to represent the purity of mind, form, and spirit of the Vasudan people over the decadence of modernity.

...the failure of project Colossus...
Er, I don't think the Colossus failed.  It did what it was designed to do, and it didn't do what it wasn't designed to do.

...the failure of project Colossus...
Er, I don't think the Colossus failed.  It did what it was designed to do, and it didn't do what it wasn't designed to do.

It could be that they felt the Emperor Khonsu II's support of the Colossus, being a "very Terran ship," was him sacrificing Vasudan ideology regarding the Shivans, in favor of the Terran's "Bigger is Better" approach.  They might feel that the Emperor's endorsement of the project was a corruption of his "Perfect Form."

Wow!  I'm really on the ball today!

its bosch, as a vasudan!

...

actualy, the collosus was supposed to be the best ship ever built by the gtva, and it was destroyed by a few beams. now why would such a perfect emporor build an imperfect ship (and one that shares many charactiristics with terran ships at that!)? he must be corrupt and willing to sacrifice all that is vasudan just to keep the shivans out of GTVA space.

Tyrian and akenbosch hit the nail on the head.

Personally I feel the Colossus was a success, just poorly used when deployed against the Shivans.

However it was also a symbol, a powerful one at that. A symbol of might and unity whisked away in a moment by the capricious will of the great destroyers.

Also keep in mind Ahmose was vehemently opposed to Bosch. What would drive him to do this?

Beams from the Sathanas, no less... a ship that can pull apart the fabric of stars.

a group of terrans hated vasudans, so its only natural for some vasudans to begin to hate back. then, khonsu ends up supporting a failed project, and allows terran influence to intrude on vasudan desing. now these vasudans realy hate terrans, and vasudans that support terrans. soon, they form a rebelion, with the most powerful, the smartest, or the most hateful as the leader.

Bit more complex than that...on the basic levels you can certainly draw similarities between the Scion of Vasuda and the Neo-Terran Front.
