Fake or Photo? (http://www.autodesk.com/eng/etc/fakeorfoto/quiz.html)
Can you tell the difference between the CG and the real pictures?
Post first try results, if you want.
-
8/10 recognized correctly. I mistook two of the CGI pics for real (won't tell which ones, though).
-
9/10, booya! Beat the **** out of you, Herra.

9/10.
-
Seven out of ten answers were correct.
-
9/10. I missed the one with the blue bubble things.
-
i got 9 outta 10
-
9/10... the wisks screwed me up
-
9/10, fooled by the BMW.
-
8/10, certainly fooled by that couple of monkeys :lols:
-
Seven out of ten answers were correct.
Same as BloodEagle... some of the photos I wished I could zoom i or see from a different angle... and some seemed a bit fuzzy. Good way to camo the CG or real. If they were all crystal clear, then maybe. And what's with the monochromatic backgrounds? Like the diamonds and the tools. Can't tell a darned thing, had to guess based on the object.
-
Eight out of ten - missed the corkscrew and the diamonds.
-
Nine out of ten, only one I got wrong was the diamonds.
-
Seven out of ten answers were correct.
Yep.
-
9/10...i screwed up on the car.
-
I got 8/10, but only because I assumed they were trying to trick me by adding loads of 'chrome' photographs, which is kind of cheating, because you can use a photograph as the reflection map, which is where the detail is.
-
I was 9/10. Messed up the corkscrew.
Anyone found the extra?

You cheated! :hopping:
8/10 for me.
-
missed the car, it was the only one I was really torn about, it looked real, but it also looked like something you could do in CG, I wasn't sure which way to go with it.
-
8/10
Got the two cars wrong. Some of the CGI ones were really obvious. Like the monkeys and the coffee.
-
Heh, the coffee pic has the coffee in the spoon level relative to the spoon, not to the horizon/gravity.
-
9/10
-
9/10 Peppers got me.
-
Excellent! Nine out of ten answers were correct
:D
And it would have been 10/10.. I kept looking at the tiles beneath the car and saying to myself that it's a CGI...but the bacground prompted me to select real in the end.
-
The background for me was what said CGI.
-
Did it as quickly as possible, just initial, first glance impressions and got 8/10. I suspect the human eye is pretty good at these sorts of things (Something similar to uncanny valley I guess).
-
9/10. I thought the one with the monkeys was real. Although it looked textured, the screw holes threw me off.
-
5/10
how are you supposed to tell the difference?
-
8/10. I saw the shadow underneath the car; it looked fake. I messed up the diamonds and the weird razor or comb or whatever it is. The wisks looked too floaty to me, too perfect.
-
5/10
how are you supposed to tell the difference?
Certain pictures had indetifying features. For example, the background on the car looked fake.
-
Actually, I thought the tiles that the car was on looked fake, personally. The background looked suspicious though, but the tiles really clinched it for me.

Yeah, like the logo on the coffee cup. :doubt:

Heh, the coffee pic has the coffee in the spoon level relative to the spoon, not to the horizon/gravity.
-
The quality of the car image still bothers me a bit, its suspiciously good :doubt:
edit:
Ok, found a bit more of it http://www.propergraphics.com/vehicles/bmw7e65.htm
Some of that looks more like CGI.
-
Some of those are amazing! :jaw: :hammer:
-
Still waiting for someone to say: "I screwed up on the corkscrew"
;)
