Holy crap man, you make these things fast! You are personally responsible for the ever increasing length of my list. I can't play them fast enough.

EDIT: I'm workin on those compressions for ya Goob, they'll be ready in 5 min

EDIT2:
.7zip (http://dodownload.filefront.com/8297110//6a54ea1934cb65cf83284f0220aaa07cd81157fa1ac53b96dc2f94d8cac2a72e9552788e69b8d608)

EDIT3: Oh, and i just noticed something. Theres a typo on one of the .vp files. I didn't change them in those archives, just incase it was intentional.

Ooh. I have to check this out later today. So far I haven't seen a bad campaign made by 0rph3u5.

Also, 0rph, regarding to your sig about this campaign. Its "related", not "releated". Something that has bothered me for a few weeks now.

Well, yeah. But because it didn't come with the download, I didn't pay attention to it and, like ngtm1r, was at first like "Oh noes! This can't be happening!". I just figured it out thirty seconds later and made the damn ini myself.

I'm DLing the campaign right now. One question: how can BtRL soundtracks fit well in a pure FreeSpace environment?
Title: Re: RELEASE -- Hellgate Ikeya

Sigh... ok, from the top. Have you

1. punched everything hellgate related into its own folder
2. made sure the mod.ini with fsport references is there too?

Worked for me that way.

No, I haven't because it's not supposed to need that. And from what I can tell, really shouldn't. Also I don't trust the mod.inis anymore since even fixed to account for the different names on my mod folders, Rain on Ribos 4 also refused to work properly.

Fine, I'll do that... uhm,  'veteran'?

It's just that, from what I've understood, everything works fine, if you throw each campaign into its own folder and then mess around with mod.inis.

At least in my case everything so far, including Hellgate and Ribos, has worked.

Ok, homesick didn't but that's because of the build issue.

But yes, I'm a noob and don't know nothing about nothing.

please restart the campaign and try again...

One question: how can BtRL soundtracks fit well in a pure FreeSpace environment?

it is a matter of taste... actually I don't like most of the FS1 stock music --- and so additional music had to be; if not BtRL then I would have taken something else (maybe getting legal problems ...)

ps. can an admin or someone else with intelligence and the needed authority remove the posts which are not releated to this campaign (esspecially those concerning my spelling mistakes...)

But I'm actually talking about their style. They really seem to belong to another Universe(except for a few soundtracks). BR used interesting soundtracks in his two Shivan-based minicampaigns, yet keeping a FS atmosphere. And there were no legal problems :)

I like your campaigns, keep it up!

Oh yeah. I played this and now I probably should give feedback.

The campaign was, as has been said, a bit short, but it still was quite thrilling.

At least in the first mission you had been applying a buttload of nebulae in the background. That tends to bring my phunkee integrated graphics card to its knees, as with the main FS2 campaign with LS Nebulae. Basically I had to extract the mission files and delete roughly half of the nebula entries, with no mercy. I know it's an insult to all the hard work you've been doing, and that it also makes the backgrounds look rather weird, but for me it's a small price to pay, if I'm then able to play without severe lag.

In conclusion, good job. Keep on truckin', 0rph.

The discussion has gotten on topic again, so I don't see any point in doing this now. If you still want me to remove them though, I can.

It's impressive how fast you are coming out with these releases. I'll check this out after I go through all the other backlog on my list of campaigns to play. :p

Orpheus, I noticed in your 2 campaigns that many wings who need it don't have the No Arrival Message activated. Its a bit silly to read "Shivan fighters incoming! break and attack" and then hear a wingman shout "enemy wing just arrived"

that is no specific to my campaigns I've seen it elsewhere as well
to understand this you got to know that no-arrival-message silences all arrival messages even those for waves to come --- and I don't want the players to have to check their event logs ingame to know if new enemies arrived

In the second mission, Gemini 3 was destroyed before we got the Vasudans off, and Gemini 4 just sat there waiting to die...
Never did though, the Shivans stopped sending fighters.

Ease up on enemy fighter numbers...that's all I'm saying.

enemy destroyers have a tendancy to launch 300+ fighters at you from their fighterbays in your campaigns.

I'll fix that -- maybe giving the shivans the interceptors and hornets instead of just MX-50 and Furies (making that mission impossible to beat  :drevil:)

yeah, that is an inconsitancy in LoA (TrashMan is one of the Beta Testers for LoA) - but if you are speaking of the shivans you cannot say if the fighters were launched from a destroyer or warped into the system on their own - the shivans always had inter-system-dirves

Gnah. Was so-so. The Camp could've been quite a nice thing if the last mission wouldn't only consist of fighting off millions of waves of the same wings for 15-20 minutes. It don't like this kind of mission. The third mission was quite annoying, too, with these shivan bombers that could bomb away the typhon with only two bomb hits. :)

But the rest was okay, including the music. It's about time for me to finally get the BtrL-Mod.

but there is cute little way to stop them from killing the Typhon with little effort - kinda backdoor for all who know the loading capicity of the Shaitan  :drevil:
