Today we are honored to premier Klavs' rendered image of the wrecked hull of the TCS Concordia lying half submerged in the waters off the Mistral Coast. Pictures speak better than words, so check it out below - it's a real beauty! We have also included the source image from the Wing Commander 3 intro for comparison.
Concordia was gone. More casualties of the war, disguised as statistics tallied up in news reports or concealed in the falsehoods of a Confed press release.

We would also like to congratulate Wing Commander CIC (http://www.wcnews.com) on their 9th birthday! Without their detailed feedback the Wing Commander Saga project would not be what it is today. Happy birthday, CIC!

Wow, that's incredible! :eek2:

RIP: Sparky, Stingray...
and many others... I think the only game wich managed to wreck more capships you had connections with is Freespace...
And I still love the tiger's claw! even when it was torpedoed to death by kilrathi stealth fighters... it was still the best and oldest ship I flew with! (Especially since wing commander was released 3 years before I was born...)

Yes but most of the pilots you meet during WC2 survive the destruction of the Concordia.
Sparks, Bear and Doomsday are mentioned in the novelization and Stingray is mentioned in the WcArena manual as a pilot.
Surprisingly almost all of the characters from both WC 1+2 survive the destruction of their ship. :)

Its a really beautiful render of the scene.
I like the way the render presents the Concordia as a fallen hero who has finally found peace.
