Title: Dies Natalis Sociorum
Post by: Mobius on August 25, 2007, 04:59:10 am: I noticed that, without considering the HLP calendar and the piece of cake near the age, there's not that much the community does when the birthday of a member arrives. Is there a way to set automatized "Happy Birthday" e-mails or even PMs?

You know, Woo's birthday is close... :drevil:

It would take less than a minute to come up with a short PM yourself- perhaps a birthday PM to every member who has been here for, I don't know, 2-3 years would make sense. If you're just doing this to get old members back, type the emails yourself. Automated emails, no matter how well-intentioned, usually sound like spam.

This kind of reminds me of the whole Welcome Beam speech fiasco.

And come on, one e-mail per year...it can't be considered spam and/or something boring.
