My thoughts:

Gave much too much away, hate it when trailers do that, other than that looks good apart from Aliens becoming more cannon fodder than they were in Aliens.

Bad horror films, now with more gore!

Disclaimer: I never watched the first Alien vs. Predator, though I've seen all of the Alien movies.

The Alien films are clearly not Bad Horror films apart from Resurrection.  AvP is a pile of turd, but you've not seen that.

Yep, but not as much as people who put text in tiny writing for no ****ing reason. :)

First one was bullocks, but I have higher hopes for this one. Story looks a tad more straight forward, and they can actually depict gore and profanity in this one. Hell, it's not like it can be worse than AVP, right? Right?

That has to be the bloodiest **** i have ever seen, and it's a trailer. Sure, I like blood I'll admit, but the way they do it is too disgusting and excessive to be cool.

This coming from a person of comfortably enjoyed the first AVP and Doom, but those weren't too bloody.

Also, is it just me, or do movie makers seem to like to kill woman more nowadays?

I haven't seen the trailer yet. But you guys say it's gory. So as long as it doesn't rewrite both aliens and predators, I will be entertained. You people say it sucks because you have high expectations. I'll say it's cool because I have no expectations. You must understand that humans cannot make good scifi movies. All those old Aliens, Predators, Dark Star and the like.... They were not made. They have always been here, since the ancient times when the old gods created them.

So stop whining that Hollywood produces bad movies. Just enjoy some splatters, because that's what the actually can make...


EDIT: Okay I watched it. And the only thing I dislike are those pretty poster boys and girls. So it's supposed to be a town full of college kids? Good thing they all die. I mean, who doesn't enjoy watching how ****loads of americans gets slaughtered by various extraterrestrials on gory ways... :drevil:

I'm going to start stockpiling beer and chips for this movie coz I'm sure as hell going to enjoy it. :pimp:

I liked the gore. But AVP didn't really seem like a good "Alien" or "Predator" film (well it did seem a bit more like a Predator film but yeah).

On present day Earth? Not intruged too much...wonder if they'll mention Schwarzy and the jungle incident in the movie?

When I see college kids and chicks with machingunes I say - crap. Don't have high hopes for this one. Where are my beloved space marines? :sigh:

Indeed. Where are the movies based around the times of Aliens. Colonial Marines, M41A Pulse Rifles, keeping a shotgun handy for close encounters!

Meh....maby we'll see at least some cool Delta Force action (or whatever special forces the US government will send against them) with nice toys.

I swear to God allmighty that I'll burn those studios to the ground if those kids (especially that skinny chick that uses that machinegun in the trailer) start killing predators and aliens.

Agreed. The whole premise of Aliens and Predators is that the only way you have a hope against them is if you're really highly trained and then you might live.

A group of teenagers might get lucky once - but they shouldn't have any staying power.

for a moment i thought that sigourney weaver was in the movie too. I have to be the fitst one here to say that i liked the first movie and these one looks even better.I liked the first movie beacuse i didn't have expectations and i have never played the AVP games

I don't think the new AvP is necessarily bad, since i did have the urge to watch the trailer a few times since it was cool somewhat, it's just i stopped being interested in total gore a year ago.

The only thing I felt while watching the trailer was the feeling you get when you contemplate the reason for wasting minutes of your life watching crap.

It's kind of like a dull ache in your gut.

Painful part is that the aliens storyline has alot of potential on its own, as does the predator storyline.
How they manage to combine two great things in a *teaser* and still make it suck so obviously... thats ****ing amazing.  :hopping:

Its like I have cake in one hand, Ice cream in the other, then combine the two to make a result that tastes like dead mice and POO!

I hope they can fix it, but somehow I know better.

I just hope it doens't follow the typical holywood "the LESS trained you are the more likely you are to sruvive" formula. I want those teenie kids to die, not the soldiers.

Oh, anyone want to bet they'll throw in some love story between two of those kids, and both of them will survive? :rolleyes:

Oh most likely. I'm also guessing the Sex=Death directive will follow suit as well. Theres also gotta be tits and ass, with those who are endowed with such gifts being slaughtered when they flaunt them in either a shower scene or a "Lets have a good time in/on (insert suitably accessible and less public location here)" scene. I'm guessing when that one chick gets it with the frisbee of death, she did such an act. You wait and see...
